Robert (Red) Smith
Robert “Red” Smith brings 40 years of technology services leadership and entrepreneurial expertise to baytechIT. Prior to baytechIT, Red was the CEO at SkyCentrics, an IoT/SaaS based energy solutions company serving US-based electric utility companies. Previously, Red served as President of Kirsen Technologies, a global leader in location-based and integrated sensor solutions serving the logistics, automotive, and public transit industries. There, he expanded the company’s technology reach by entering the electric scooter/shared micro-mobility market, launching Clevr Mobility in multiple cities beginning in late 2018. Prior, Red spent 12 years as the CEO of ContainerTrac, a navigation and sensor IT solutions company. Before ContainerTrac, Red was SVP and GM at Callisma, a professional services firm that designed, implemented, and managed IT solutions for business enterprises. He also spent 4 years as a Vice President and General Manager at Entex Information Services, which at the time was the largest US value added reseller and managed services provider to the Fortune 500. His 13 years at Pacific Bell (now AT&T) included many operational and sales roles throughout California.
Red earned his MBA from UC Berkeley and a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California.
Bringing over 20 years of customer focused and technical experience both in the Human Services and IT Managed Services Industry, Jennifer has a unique understanding of a client’s needs from the end user through the C level staff. In addition to previously running her family owned Managed Services company, she brings experience in coordinating an organization for growth while implementing the security needs of today’s IT environments. As Senior Director of Operations, Jennifer ensures that baytechIT is focused on the needs of the staff and clients in a proactive manner. She is committed to ensuring that the core values of baytechIT are in place at all times, healthcare technology from a human perspective.
Jennifer’s focus in addition to work, are her children, husband and extended family. Her favorite quote is “every day is mothers’ day.” Cooking and walking for the National Breast Cancer Foundation are near and dear to her heart. Jennifer is an FTC Robotics Mentor and a high school rec basketball coach.
With 12 years of experience in IT support, product deployment and project management, David has gained a comprehensive understanding of the service delivery process. Prior to his role as the Director of Service Operations for baytechIT, David managed the Project Management Office at VertitechIT and spent 8 years working in the telecommunications field. His exposure to operations at all levels give him a unique perspective and drives his “whatever it takes” mindset. As the Director of Service Operations for baytechIT, David oversees 60+ employees working in focused departments providing frontline and remote support, structured cabling, engineering, client relations and hardware sales.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and son Christopher, exploring the outdoors and listening to music. He is also a DIY fanatic who loves to design, build and over-complicate every project he can get his hands on. Whether he is cooped up in his music studio or his woodshop, there is rarely downtime in David’s life.
